         Dr. Norton holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Coe College        in Iowa and both a Master of Arts and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from Stanford University. He earned a Performance Diploma from the Universität für Musik und dartsellende Kunst in Vienna, Austria with a focus on German Lieder and Oratorio

         Since 2001 he has been responsible for providing outstanding musical training and services here in Seattle, having retired from over thirty years teaching and conducting in academic institutions, including primary, elementary, secondary, college and university levels. He offers   private music instruction on piano and in voice, most often in your own home. 

         For the Jazz Singer, in addition to private and class musical instruction, he offers recording possibilities in his home studio. He will also provide transcriptions of leadsheets and practice materials. Why not record your favorite song for a family member or friend? His studio is conveniently located near Pioneer Square at 526 1st Avenue South,  Seattle WA 98104
